We would like to introduce you to the data Group, which stands for Disability Awareness through Association.
The Group currently based at the Vauxhall Centre exists to help people feel more comfortable and better able to communicate with disabled people.
We hope to achieve this through a flexible programme which includes discussion, practical exercises and video material designed to increase awareness of disabled peoples views, aspirations and lifestyles.
In the past, segregation has led to the development of fears, inhibitions and negative attitudes, and it is the aim of our group to encourage intergration, and well informed attitudes by discussing the facts about disability in association with disabled people.
Our programme can be tailored to meet the needs of a variety of age groups and situations, however there is a basic format.
There is a negotiable charge to cover any expenses incurred.
