The Vauxhall Centre is a multi-faceted resource centre in the middle of Norwich.

The centre is funded by Norfolk County Council’s Adult Social Services Department, and provides a range of opportunities for all of the community.

Originally built as a resource exclusively for disabled people, the centre now offers educational courses and opportunities that are open to all eg Pottery, Information Technology, Gentle Exercise, and a number of Arts and History based courses. The courses are ran by either the Workers Education Association, City College Norwich or Norfolk County Council’s learning enhancement team. The College also runs a learning station in the centre’s superbly equipped 24 station IT suite.

Norfolk County Services also runs a caferteria at the centre open for drinks, snacks and lunches from 9.00 3.00.

The centre retains its emphasis on providing services for disabled people,   Norfolk Disability Information Service and Disability Rights Norfolk are both based at the centre. For those people who are referred through the Adult Social Services Department, personal care is also available.

The Centre has a number of meeting and teaching rooms that are available for hire and is used by a large number of community groups and organisations.

The future of the centre is built on partnership with others to provide a wide range of opportunities that are open to all.
